Cem Boyner, born in 1955, graduated from Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Business Administration in 1978. Starting his career in Altınyıldız Group; the family firm, Boyner is now named Corporate Executive for Boyner Holding. Cem Boyner is married and has four children.

Cem Boyner, has been an amateur photographer since high school... He started taking pictures together with Aydın Ungan in Robert College. In 1996 he started photographing underwater... Boyner displayed his photographs taken in Corsica, The Red Sea, The Philippines, Indonesia, Maldives and in Bodrum, Fethiye, Gökova, Hisarönü and Datça areas in Turkey, in his first personal exhibition named "Underwater" in 1999.

In 2005, Boyner opened his second personal exhibition. "The Distant Near" that consists of portraits and "The Near Distant" where the human body is defined has been visited approximately by 55,000 people in İstanbul, Ankara and İzmir.
